Title

Walnut Table, c. 1810

Subject

Harvest Table

Description

This walnut table, circa 1810, with two leaves is typical of the tables in use throughout the South. However, this table, with its being not square when open, is not normal for the South but could indicate Pennsylvania. This could be an example of the so-called "Harvest table" type. 2022: Walnut table with leaves that prop open. Possibly modern hinges.
