“Tulip wreath appliqué” this quilt is circa 1840. It is of the vine, leaf and flower wreath design and has horizontal and vertical (diamond pieces) lines. The applied fabric is red and green. This is a common pattern and a variation of the wreath and tulip patterns.

11/2019 great condition for age, tan from discoloration and fading, fabric loose on edge but not much loss, double lining of red on edges, fading on back showing design through as white.
1/2023 Condition very good no obvious stains, tears, or frayed edges
