Description
“Rose and Bud” variation circa 1850 to 1860. Four blocks 29 inch squares each have a large rose with points 14 inches across, appliquéd with five concentric rows of red, light green, red and pink with white center. Four pink, red and white centered 4 inch roses, four pink buds with bright yellow-green leaves and four buds [pomegranates] surround the large flower etc. a wide border on three sides Carol Whitehouse.
